Rangiuru is a small country school (Y1–8) located amongst orchards and farms, 6.5 kms away from the bustle of town. We have strong support from our school families, community and our local iwi, Tapuika. We are not zoned and we have our own bus to transport children from town and the wider area. We take pride in our outdoor learning space and provide localised learning opportunities.

We are seeking a principal who has the students and their needs at the centre of their focus and who has a clear commitment to education in a rural setting. They will have the skills to work alongside the staff to empower them and build on the strengths of the school and develop new initiatives to ensure a strong culture of teaching and learning success.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a dynamic and innovative leader with proven leadership skills and experience, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the board, the school and wider communities.

The successful candidate will inspire, challenge and support students with their learning. Being adaptable and well organised in this rural setting is a priority.

If this leadership role sounds like you, we encourage you to apply.
