Rangiuru is a small country school (Y1–8) located amongst orchards and farms, 6.5 kms away from the bustle of town. We have strong support from our school families, community and our local iwi, Tapuika. We are not zoned and we have our own bus to transport children from town and the wider area. We take pride in our outdoor learning space and provide localised learning opportunities.

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 teachers to join our team! We have 2 permanent positions available. Year level is negotiable, likely a Y2–3 class and Y4–5 class. Please state your preferred level in your application.

We are seeking enthusiastic teachers to join our small country school starting term 1 of 2022. We are looking for teachers who can build a positive relationship with our students, understand their learning needs and help them achieve success. A good knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum is essential.

We are looking for the best teachers for our students – a teacher who; displays enthusiasm, has a commitment to culturally responsive practice, values building positive relationships with learners and whānau, can work collaboratively and is continually improving teaching practice.

An understanding of our local curriculum and using the local environment in your teaching, through education outside the classroom, will be advantageous.  We have a fabulous outdoor space with gardens to work in and native bush to enjoy.

In your covering letter please comment on why you’d be the best teacher for this role, your literacy and numeracy strengths, how you foster a positive classroom culture and your experience with outdoor learning.
