Kumeroa School seeks an enthusiast for the learning that takes place in all contexts - 4 walls or no walls at all. Our students and whānau will expect you to enjoy your role as an active and outgoing member of an innovative rural school. Papatūānuku is our native bush classroom and our curriculum continues in this hands-on fashion back on the school grounds, through our much loved local agri curriculum. Building positive relationships with students, staff and whānau is a key feature of being part of the Kumeroa community. You will love listening and responding more than being the font of all knowledge, and will be supported in your professional learning to strengthen your capabilities at being the very best facilitator of student-led learning.
Your resources are abundant, everything from modern learning environments, to calves, to school bees, a swimming pool, a native bush classroom...the list goes on. Most of all we have awesome tamariki who exude tuakana teina in our family focused environment, something you will nurture as you work alongside them to realise their potential in their own intricacies, excitements and passions.
