Kimi Ora School, Wellington – specialist teacher Outreach Service Scale A based in the Wairarapa region

0.2 FTTE with the potential for growth

Fixed-term 1 year 2022

Kimi Ora School is a specialist school for young persons aged 5-21 years.  As part of our school we run a specialist teacher outreach service.

This service currently has 13 teachers who visit and support students who have ORs funding in mainstream schools in the greater Wellington region.

Kimi Ora School has a position for a Scale A teacher 0.2 FTTE (1 Day) fixed-term, part-time teacher to work in this Outreach Team supporting a student based in Greytown, Wairarapa. As this is a new position in the Wairarapa region there is the potential for growth.

If you are a great team player committed to working collaboratively with schools, teachers and students then we would love to have you working alongside us to provide a vibrant learning environment for special needs students.

Experience in working with special needs and nonverbal children is desirable however even more importantly, we are looking for an enthusiastic innovative teacher with a “can do “attitude. There is travel involved and a mileage allowance is paid.

If you require further information, please contact Lisa Neilson on (027) 427 3969.
