An opportunity has arisen in our Y7–13 kura for a motivated and qualified assistant head of learning area social science. The appointee will be expected to provide leadership and guidance for the social science curriculum.

The successful applicant should have a background in the social science curriculum and experience in teaching in the senior school. The appointee will be a motivated teacher and an aspiring leader, willing to collaborate with other teachers across curriculum areas to increase the levels of student achievement in our school.

A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, culturally responsive practice, and te ao Maori is vital. We are looking for a teacher who is keen on developing curriculum with local and relevant content while integrating student interest, embracing cross curricular teaching and effective use of digital technology within the curriculum.    

A permanent management unit could be available to the right applicant. Please indicate in your application your specialist senior subjects.
