After many years, our centre manager wishes to work more closely with the children and take on new challenges within the centre. Consequently, we are seeking a passionate and committed leader to take over the reins and continue the great work.  The position involves supporting and teaching, communicating with families, and ensuring the centre is high-performing based on quality.  You will have ultimate responsibility for meeting administrative expectations and compliance requirements and will strive to achieve financial performance targets, supported by a capable Trust Board.

We are a long-established, community-based, all-day early childhood service situated in the heart of beautiful Cambridge.  We are well-resourced and licensed across both The Castle and The Pagoda for 90+ children.  The centre is almost always fully occupied and with a waiting list that attests to the local community's quality of care and fondness for their centre.  We have a permanent teaching team of 20, of which three Headteachers support the Centre Manager within their defined learning environments.

We offer you a new challenge, variety, and the reward of being part of an innovative, people-focused organisation.

You will benefit from a collaborative team approach and a Trust Board that is readily available to help and support you.  You can also expect to maintain a high level of knowledge and skill with regular whole-centre and tailored professional development.

The Trust Board offers generous employment terms:

  • Excellent opportunities to help develop your management skills
  • Supportive professional development to help you flourish and assist in your development as a teacher and manager
  • Excellent remuneration
  • On-going support and advice from a dedicated, experienced leadership team

Senior management experience in a thriving centre is essential, although we will consider someone who has shown leadership and is ready to take on a centre manager position.
