Key responsibilities 

The systems leader will guide how our students engage with their learning with particularly attention paid to the role our special character can play to support this. They will play a major role in shaping the experience that our students have throughout their schoolwide learning journey.  They will be highly visible and maintain a positive presence with our students, staff and community. 

You will have the strategic and interpersonal skills to

  • Develop and lead coherent systems (from Y0-13) across our school
  • Motivate and build capacity in our teachers to embrace and enact that vision
  • Take systems initiatives from conception to implementation to sustained practice
  • Build relational trust by demonstrating competency in their role, by engendering interpersonal respect and through demonstrating personal integrity and resilience
  • Be a leader of learning: planning, promoting, leading and participating in teacher learning and development in regard to student learning

Key outcomes

  • Create and lead effective schoolwide systems that reflect the school’s special character and Y0-13 reality
  • Create and maintain the schoolwide timetable
  • Report at every board meeting on systems successes and concerns.
  • Use appropriate student data to inform decision making and recommendations
  • Develop partnerships between students and teachers to improve student and staff systems
  • Provide leadership for the administration team
  • Develop and oversee a staff duty roster
  • Organise a schoolwide meeting structure
  • Provide oversight for the school website and communication systems with families
