Motueka High School has the exciting opportunity for a talented kaiako to be part of the creation of an educational team to drive the learning of Te Reo Maori, Maori Performing Arts and strong cultural connections in our kura and rohe. There are a number of possible models that can be shaped around your passion, skills and capacity. In essence we need 10-12 hours of Te Reo teaching that can be added to with HoD responsibilities, other teaching hours, Whanau Form Class organisation and Kapa Haka tutoring, in any combination however these hours could increase dependent on other specialty subjects. This role is critical to our school and to our community, including connecting in with the Marae and the entities i.e. TRoNR, Te Atiawa, NRAIT and Wakatu, students, the wider whanau and the Runanga Matua and can be tailored to suit the skills of the successful applicant.
