This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced science teacher to be in a collaborative Y7–8 team, as they start the journey of hosting Y7–8 technology onsite in 2022. Formerly we have attended another school provider for Y7–8 technology and are excited to take on the challenge to integrate our inquiry and technology further, through the lens of STEAM.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a passion for empowering young learners and preparing them for their future
  • Be innovative and comfortable working across an integrated Y7–8 curriculum
  • Embrace collaborative planning and relishes problem solving
  • Have student agency and success firmly at the heart of their practice
  • Be open to change and confident in curriculum planning
  • Have a growth mindset and willingness to contribute to developing our future-focused curriculum
  • Be able to work in a 0.2 fixed-term position every Friday
  • Be fully conversant with the New Zealand Curriculum and be a New Zealand registered teacher
  • Meet the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021, so applicants must either be vaccinated or have a medical exemption as they apply to the education sector.
