Omakau School has a permanent Scale A position in our junior class available for 2022.

We are looking for a hard working team member who has a sound understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum document.

The applicant will need to have strong behaviour management skills and experience at adapting pedagogy and programmes to meet the variety of learners' needs within the class which may include autism, ESOL and language and learning delayed students.

Strengths in literacy and numeracy would be an advantage.

We are wanting a professional who is willing to continue to grow professionally, use their initiative, taking on additional responsibilities so that this small rural team can offer the best opportunities for our students.

We are looking for a person who fits into the rural character of our school, also enjoying positive collegial relationships which we believe are the cornerstone of a great team.
