Are you a teacher who is passionate about putting children at the heart of your work in the classroom? Are you dynamic and creative in your approach to teaching learning outcomes? Are you driven by a need to develop strong, robust pedagogy that is responsive to the needs of the children in your care? Do you have a positive, “can-do” attitude? Then, you might be the special one we are looking for!
We are looking for a Y4–6 teacher, who has a good, honest work ethic, who is a clear and compassionate communicator, and who is willing to take part in the close-knit rural community we serve. You should be able to work well in a small, whanau-like team. A specialism in sport, digital technologies or tikanga Maori would be desirable, but not essential.
We are a small rural school (29 student), nestled in South Taranaki, and just ten minutes away from Hawera. We have two classrooms and offer multi-level learning. We are also an Enviro school, so we have a strong emphasis on outdoor learning and caring for our local environment. We aim to nurture, inspire and challenge our students with creative and stimulating programmes and educational experiences. We have thriving, happy children, who achieve well, academically. If you are interested in joining our team, we would love to hear from you.
