Maidstone Intermediate seeks applications from enthusiastic, motivated performing arts teachers, passionate about working with early adolescents, and committed to high standards for themselves and their students.

You will teach a specialised music and drama or dance programme and develop the choir and band. You would be a key member of our annual production team and be a collaborative person who will support the wider life of the school, events and initiatives.

We are open to redefining what this role looks like in terms of fostering a love of the ‘arts’ with students, as long as we can continue to provide rich, creative learning experiences and maintain our choir and band.

Generous CRT is provided to support collaborative practice.  The successful applicant will also have responsibility for performance, ensuring a range of opportunities are available for our tamariki. An R-Unit is provided for this additional work.

We offer a supportive and collegial work environment with a focus on developing quality pedagogical practice.  A willingness to be fully involved in school-wide events and organisation, and strength and interest in te ao Maori would be an advantage.

Applicants must be NZ registered and hold a current Practising Certificate.
