We require a qualified, confident, and competent practitioner to lead our guidance department in a full-time, permanent position starting in term 1, 2022.

Ideally, you have experience working with teenagers. You will be a member of NZAC or another professional association and may be a registered teacher (but this is not a necessity).

We welcome applications from forward-thinking, culturally responsive practitioners who focus on the wellbeing of our students, working with a one-size-fits-one approach. You must be able to work collaboratively with our students, parents, staff, and the wider school community.

In your cover letter, we would also love to know the genuine and authentic contribution you are willing to make to the wider life of the school.

The heart of the college vision has every student and teacher to Tōhea (striving for personal excellence.) Our school values of whakaute (respect), manaakitanga (responsibility), pono (integrity) and kairangi (excellence) drive our culture.

If this sounds like you, we look forward to receiving your application. A full job description is available on request, please email haler@rutherford.school.nz.

Remuneration will be determined by your qualifications and experience.
