Shirley Boys' High School is a single sex school serving the eastern suburbs of Christchurch. We provide learning inside and outside the classroom that enriches boys and prepares them for their world. Our staff provide high quality education with a focus on strong and positive relationships.

We seek a trained and qualified school guidance counsellor. Ideally the candidate will have either full or provisional NZAC membership. They will lead a team of two, and work closely with the Deputy Headmaster, leading and maintaining pastoral care and wellbeing systems which meet the needs of the school community. An ability to work with boys, and be culturally responsive would be an advantage.

NB: This role is covered by the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021, so applicants must either be vaccinated or have a medical exemption as they apply to the education section.
