Hunter Park Kindergarten is part of the Heretaunga Kindergarten Association. Our association is committed to:

About us 

  • Hunter Park Kindergarten is based in Central Hawkes Bay with a licence of 40 children.  
  • Our philosophy is one of respect and authenticity that focuses on relationships with all ākonga, whānau, community and their cultures, in a nurturing, sustainable and peaceful environment  
  • The team are innovative, forward thinking and relationship based kaiako who are focused on positive individual outcomes for all ākonga 
  • Our curriculum is developed in consultation with whanau and reflects Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the kindergartens local history
  • We provide generous non-contact time and professional learning leave. 

To be considered you need to: 

  • Have a philosophy that fits with our team and kindergarten
  • Have a current practicing certificate (full or provisional)
  • Have a Dip Tch in early childhood education (minimum)
  • Have a current first aid certificate 
  • Be current with regard to early childhood education theory and practice
  • Be confident in using technology and be able to competently use Microsoft Suite and Story Park
  • Have a proven working knowledge of government legislation and regulations. 

This position could be suitable for a beginning or early career teacher.
