Here is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring leader to develop their teaching and leadership skills at our beautiful, rural Christian school in the Tasman region.
We are looking for an experienced teacher who has great communication skills and a keen sense of humour. Half this role is a permanent 0.5 position, while the other 0.5 is a fixed-term Acting Principal role (further educational commitments for principal). This is a full-time classroom position and be most likely in Y4–6 for three days and Y5–8 for two days.
We require someone who is creative, innovative and enthusiastic. You need to have a passion for learning, sound curriculum knowledge, a commitment to excellence, and be team-oriented.
We have curriculum initiatives in quality teaching and learning pedagogies including RBL (Relationship-Based Learning), integrated learning, and the development of our localised curriculum which will foster student inquiry and agentic learning.
Confidence with developing assessment practices, te reo, and using digital technologies effectively in teaching practice is desirable. The successful applicant would be willing to contribute to school life outside their classroom.
This teaching position includes a willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school, and shall be a condition of appointment.
