We are looking for a registered teacher to join the team. This role has future leadership opportunities and room for professional growth.
About Educare Hikurangi:
We are a small intimate centre located in Hikurangi, just north of Whangarei. We are lucky to be based in a semi-rural location where we can watch the farm animals over the fence!
We have a beautiful, cosy centre that is inviting to all of our tamariki, their whānau and our amazing kaiako. We have a strong connection with our local community and enjoy the participation and involvement from whānau. We pride ourselves on making sure our tamariki have a strong sense of belonging to their kainga.
Our centre allows for plenty of one-on-one time or small group activities, creating a calm, relaxed environment for our tamariki to actively engage in their environment and take ownership of the space.
We are the only centre in Hikurangi to cater for tamariki U2s, which supports our strong focus on whanaungatanga and learning through a tuakana-teina model of collaboration. We are also passionate about sustainable practices and our tamariki are supported to take a lead role in facilitating this kaupapa.
You want to work in a fun and supportive workplace that nurtures your strengths, supporting you to become the best teacher you can be.
You will have a passion and desire to provide quality care and education to our tamariki.
You will be a strong advocate for our tamariki, who will be able to uphold and support our commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi, Te Whāriki, and the Educare vision of Learn, Laugh, Play. We have strong whānau values and beliefs that promote whanaungatanga.
Hold a teaching qualification and practising certificate that allows you to work as a registered teacher in an NZ ECE centre.
