Te Kāhui Ako o te Kauaeranga - Thames Community of Learning is advertising for a Learning Support Coordinator for 2022 and beyond. This LSC will work as part of a team with another LSC, Supportive Kāhui Ako leadership and kura from ECE to Secondary. 

Learning support coordinator, full-time, permanent position starting term 1, 2022. The successful applicant will work within the learning support delivery model (LSDM).

To be considered for the position, applicants must be a registered teacher and have :

  • Demonstrated successful experience in working with students and young people with learning support needs in the classroom
  • A sound knowledge, commitment to and understanding of the learning support system and the learning support action plan priorities
  • The ability to engage at a school and Kāhui Ako leadership level
  • Influencing skills at a working level within a school and the wider Kāhui Ako
  • An understanding and knowledge of culturally responsive and relational pedagogy is essential
  • A current teaching practising certificate and a relevant teaching qualification.
