Our school (CHS) is a co-educational school, established in 1883, with a roll of approximately 1,750 students. Cambridge is in the heart of the Waikato region and has recently become a focus for elite sport with cycling, triathlon, kayaking and rowing establishing their New Zealand bases here. We serve the interests of the community incredibly well, meeting the varied academic, trades, cultural and sporting needs of our students. Places at CHS are highly sought after with families choosing to move into town to gain access to the school.

We are seeking a science teacher to join our well-resourced and positive department, starting at the beginning of term 1. We are looking for collaborative, collegial and enthusiastic teacher who is committed to academic excellence in teaching science. The ideal candidate would be able to teach biology in Y12–13 and junior science in Y9–10.

However, we are interested in all fields of expertise in science, as we have some flexibility to adjust the timetable to suit an incoming candidate.
