Thank you for your interest in the foundational position of Facilitator for a new programme that we are developing. Ngāi Tūāhuriri have gifted us the name Ka Pao Te Tōrea for this programme.

The purpose of Ka Pao Te Tōrea is to create personalised success for a class of high needs students. The kaupapa of the class is to enhance the social and emotional skills of learners, to uplift the language culture and identity of participants, to help them navigate their educational journeys. Kai mō te hinengaro, te tinana me te taha wairua – the nourishing of mind, body and soul.

Please see the separate document for the job description. The role is fixed-term for a year as we have funding for this time. We wish to start Ka Pao Te Tōrea as soon as possible beginning with a pilot.

We wish Ka Pao Te Tōrea to be longer than one year. We are working with the Ministry of Education on an evaluative process for the programme so we will have evidence of the difference it has made so we can apply for funding past this initial year.
