An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a skilled teacher who is passionate about Te Reo Māori and who would like the opportunity to grow student capability in Te Reo and Tikanga Māori across all year levels in our school. As a school we are reinvigorating our curriculum, growing fundamental Te Reo Māori knowledge and establishing stronger connections to our local Tūhoe iwi, you will be an integral part of this.
You will also cover CRT and senior leadership release across the school as part of your four days per week which will provide further opportunities to consolidate student learning.
In return for the commitment, growth mindset, innovative ideas and sense of humour that you will bring to our school, we’ll provide you with an amazing group of fun, respectful tamariki, a well-resourced country school, lots of outdoor space, a great community and a team-first environment where everyone contributes and your ideas and experience will be truly valued.
We are a rural Bay of Plenty school with a roll of 90 who are embarking on an exciting period of change and have a number of new initiatives planned for 2022. This is a fixed-term 0.8 position.
We encourage you to visit us so you can get a feel for our great school and find out more about this new position. Knowledge of Tūhoe tīkanga, history and whakapapa will be advantageous but not essential.
