Permanent collaborative teacher Y7–8.

We are seeking a passionate NZ qualified teacher, with a growth mind frame, who will thrive working in an ILE. You will be focused on developing learner agency and will be committed to being part of a collaborative team environment.

We will be looking for sound literacy, mathematical and inquiry skills as well as a desire to make a difference in a child’s learning. An ability to foster positive relationships with our tamariki, whānau and colleagues is essential.

As a competent and effective teacher you will:

  • Be driven to enhance well-being within our team
  • Be an outstanding practitioner with strong, current pedagogical, curriculum and assessment knowledge, particularly in literacy and mathematics
  • Have proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all members of a school team
  • Promote and embrace innovative and inclusive learning space practices, support student behaviour in positive, restorative and purposeful ways
  • Have knowledge of and commitment to the principles of collaborative and innovative teaching and learning practices
  • Demonstrate strong administrative skills and exceptional communication abilities to maintain appropriate networks at all levels.
