Our school is a rural intermediate and we are seeking to appoint a deputy principal to join our senior leadership team. The successful applicant would need to demonstrate commitment and a willingness to be part of our school culture which offers a wide range of learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. 

The person we are looking for should :

  • Have experience and a passion for the intermediate context  
  • Be first and foremost, a great teacher with sound pedagogical content knowledge
  • Have sound assessment practices and have some experience in  collating and evaluating data schoolwide 
  • Have successful experience in leading teams and initiatives.
  • Have experience with restorative and positive practices and have knowledge of PB4L
  • Promote culturally responsive practices - commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi is vital and some experience in Te Ao Māori is expected.
