We are seeking a dynamic and innovative person to lead our Pathways Department, including oversight of Careers, Gateway and STAR. Applicants need to be able to demonstrate innovation and understanding in engaging and empowering young people, particularly girls, around careers, tertiary and vocational pathways and assist the school to develop and implement a coherent careers plan from Y9-13.
This is an opportunity to lead a revisioned department to support and promote strong careers guidance and education across the school community. The role will assist our young people to explore the world of work and tertiary landscapes while still under the pastoral umbrella of the school. The successful candidate would be expected to develop and expand tertiary, community and industry partnerships. They must be a team player, able to build good relationships with students, staff, whānau and wider community and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Previous experience or study within a careers framework would be an advantage. There is administrative support for the position.
