Are you an enthusiastic and motivated teacher that thrives on students achieving success through in depth assessment, individual planning and scaffolded learning for rangatahi? Do you want to provide opportunities for accelerated learning to be achievable through very small class numbers?
We are currently looking for NZ registered primary kaiako/teachers to teach small classes of between 6 and 12 students – with another teaching colleague and support staff at Korowai Manaaki – Youth Justice facility in Wiri, South Auckland.
Kingslea School provides education for tamariki in Oranga Tamariki care. All applicants must be committed to raising Māori achievement and be able to work in a team environment.
This is an extremely rewarding opportunity with the scope to develop and adapt your teaching passions and skills – especially for teachers with empathy and understanding of vulnerable rangatahi and who want to work with them to develop a positive attitude to themselves and education – at their own pace.
Remuneration is aligned with the MOE rates and the special duties increment allowance is available with the position.
