Kimi Ora is a specialist school for students aged 5-21 who have very high complex, medical, intellectual and physical needs. Our base school is situated in Naenae and we have three satellites within the Taita, Woburn and Evans Bay area.

We have a vacancy for a full-time, permanent Scale A teacher commencing term 1, 2022. The successful applicant may be based at our Base school in Naenae or one of our other satellites within the Wellington region.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative teacher with a “can do” attitude who is able to deliver high-quality learning programmes within a trans-disciplinary team.

If that is you, and you are a great team player committed to working collaboratively and contributing fully to school life, we would love to have you working alongside us to provide a vibrant learning environment for our students. 

We also welcome applicants with a qualification in Early Childhood Education.

It is desirable that the applicant can demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of working with students with very high physical and medical needs.
  • Experience of working with students aged between 14 to 21 years within a trans- disciplinary team.
  • Experience of supporting students working with the use of a range of communication devices and aids.
  • Experience of working with students with autism.
