Ēkari, he whānau kotahi mātou, he ope kotahi hoki mātou.  He ōrite ki te pā.  Mā te katoa o kā kaiako e tiaki, e manaaki e whakaako tamariki. E kiia nei i te reo Pākeha “It takes a village to bring up a child.”  Ko tō rourou me ā mātou rourou kia ora ai kā kōhungahunga.  Nei rā anō, ka hiahia tētehi kaiako kia riro ai te tohu mātauranga mō kā kōhukahuka.  Nei rā hoki tō hiahia haere mai ki tō mātou “Pā”.  E awhi atu, e awhi mai tātou katoa.

Te Pārekereke o Te Kī is a bilingual, mixed age early childhood centre of around 32 children including 10 U2. It is 1 of 5 purpose built centres that are a part of the Otago University Childcare Association.

Due to movement within the association we have a permanent full-time position for an ECE qualified and registered teacher/kaiako (or teacher in training). The person we are looking for will have a high level of proficiency in te reo Māori with a passion and ability to teach in a kaupapa Māori context.  See full job information below.
