Teacher of te reo Māori – part-time, fixed-term

Whangārei Boys’ High School is seeking an enthusiastic and capable teacher of te reo Māori. This position begins in term 1, 2022 as we prepare to move into our brand-new school opening later that same term.

All students study te reo Māori for one semester in Y9. As such, we need a teacher with a passion for helping Māori and non-Māori students achieve both academically and culturally. A strong commitment to restorative practices and culturally responsive and relational teaching approaches is essential.

There is potential for a full-time position with other subjects. Please state other subjects.

Ka mohio hoki ki ngā ūara o te kura, ara ko te whakawhānaungatanga, manaakitanga, tika, pono, maia, aroha me te mahi tahi.
