We are excited to be able to offer a teaching position in our learning whānau here at Te Whai Hiringa - Peterhead School.
The successful applicant must be first and foremost a teacher who cares about their students. Relationships are paramount in our school and you must be willing to be patient, kind and build trust with our tamariki/taiohi.
We live our 3 kete: māramatanga, manaakitanga and whanaungatanga and we are a proud PB4L, restorative practice & incredible years school that is currently working on indigenising our curriculum to reflect the identity of our students and their whānau. A willingness to take on the learning of te reo Māori me on tikanga is a must for the successful applicant. We need a teacher who understands that a child’s identity is central to their wellbeing and knows how to value and respect each child’s kete of knowledge that they bring to their learning each day.
The best way to know if our school is a place you would like to be at, is to feel the wairua in our space. We encourage school visits and welcome applications from you to join our team, if you feel like this is a place that you would like to learn, grow and teach in.
(M.U’s available to the person with the right strengths and ability.)
