Gore Main School is looking for an experienced NZ registered new entrant teacher to join our team.
The successful applicant will have experience teaching in this area, an understanding of Te Whāriki ECE curriculum and the NZ School Curriculum, have an understanding of Structured Literacy (Phonics and Decodable Readers) and fantastic relationship skills with tamariki and whānau.
The successful applicant will take over our GMS Transition Programme, which follows the Discovery Time model and be able to set up a fun, inclusive and enjoyable learning environment. You must be confident and have skills across the curriculum and incorporate Te Reo Māori into all learning experiences.

Follow School wide systems, culture, programmes, policies and procedures.
Teacher in charge of the GMS Transition Programme
Deliver a Structured Literacy Approach
Incorporate the Discovery Time Model
Maintain a morning programme of literacy and numeracy
Conduct Phonological Awareness Testing
Liaise with parents and ensure new children are ready for school
Visit and develop relationships with local ECE providers
Attend staff and syndicate meetings
Follow behaviour management systems
Provide action plans on the At Risk Register when required
Input data into Etap SMS
Provide updates and reports to the Board of Trustees as required.
One management unit available.
