For the first time in over 20 years, the resource teacher: literacy position has become available on the Kapiti Coast.

The position has an office and a base at Ōtaki School but covers the region from Manakau in the north to Pukerua Bay in the south.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is able to quickly develop relationships with a range of students and teachers
  • is highly self-motivated and well organised
  • has excellent classroom practices and knowledge especially in reading and writing
  • has a full drivers license (a car is provided for work purposes)
  • has an RTLit Diploma or intention in the first year to enroll in a university course to complete one (fully paid)
  • is excited by the opportunity to work with a range of diverse learners to support them in developing life long skills and passion in literacy
