BLENNZ Transition Homai Campus – Resource Teacher Vision (RTV) 1.0 position – start date beginning 2022 school year. 

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and experienced teacher with current teacher registration and up-to-date knowledge of the NZ Curriculum to support the transition education of ākonga aged 18 to 21 years, who are blind, deafblind and low vision. The successful applicant will have proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully in and across diverse teams, be a competent user of technology and demonstrate an ability to develop excellent working relationships with parents and family/whānau. 

The applicant requires a sound knowledge, understanding and application of Te Ao Māori and tikanga, along with proven ability to engage effectively with Māori and non-Māori. Experience in a kaiako Māori role with fluency in te reo me ōna tikanga and the English language along with a relevant qualification in te reo Māori is necessary.
