After many years of passionate dedication to developing the combined vision of the Koroua and Kuia of Waiohau for the kura, our much loved tumuaki is leaving. This presents an opportunity for an engaging, caring, dedicated and passionate leader to come and be part of our rural kura and communities.
We would like you to build on the strengths of our current tumuaki:
Be a fluent speaker of te reo Māori
Have the ability to enhance, promote our kura vision and values while embracing our cultural identity as Ngati Haka and Patuheuheu
Have proven management skills and experience
Have a willingness and ability to nurture ‘the Iho Matua o te Tamaiti’
Engage, be flexible and work positively and respectfully alongside our wonderful staff, students, parents and the surrounding communities.
Condition of appointment:
Our incoming tumuaki will be required to acknowledge, accept, embrace and uphold Te Kawenata Pūmau o te Kura and to accept and recognise the responsibility to maintain and preserve the special character of our kura.
Position commences start term 1, 2022.
