We have an opportunity for a deputy principal to join our Wadestown School staff beginning in term 1, 2022. The role will be based in the senior school (Y5–8) and the successful applicant will work closely and collaboratively with the principal, deputy principal (Y1–4) and our wider leadership team. 

We are seeking a proven leader and highly skilled classroom teacher with strong interpersonal and communication skills. This position is 0.2 DP release and 0.8 classroom teacher in Y7–8.  

Support from our community is strong and we work in partnership to promote the best possible outcomes for all our learners. Our students are provided with a range of rich and varied learning experiences and this role involves leading and delivering our Y8 student leadership programme. 

Culturally responsive practice is important to us and we seek a leader who will contribute to our school wide focus on inclusion and diversity. Key to this will be the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff and whānau.
