An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced, innovative and values based educational leader to take the role of associate principal for a fixed-term to lead the shaping of our St Peter’s Curriculum.
Reporting directly to the campus principal, and as a member of our senior leadership team, the associate principal plays a significant role in helping the school achieve our vision. Our school ethos of Mind, Body and Spirit is critical to the way we work. Our special Christian character also has a very special place across our entire curriculum as does our bespoke Wellbeing curriculum.
As associate principal you will lead, review and drive curriculum and ensure our assessment practices are aligned. You will work with the heads of faculty, directors and learning leaders to ensure the delivery of our curriculum meets national and International credentialing requirements and ensures our students are future ready. You will ensure the transition of students from prep to middle to upper secondary school is supported by a seamless curriculum. An inspirational leader, with extensive experience across a range of contexts, you will guide our teaching practice to the next level. This position may suit an ex-Principal.
You must be able to demonstrate:
The ability to create expectations of high performance
A strong understanding of the NZ secondary curriculum, International curricular and best practice teaching
A collaborative style and the ability to engage others in change
Strong systems leadership
Significant experience with student engagement strategies
Sound planning and implementation skills
Relationship building and coaching skills.
We highly recommend a visit to the school to see our excellent students and our amazing team of teachers dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.
