Due to an exciting new opportunity for our existing deputy principal, Pillans Point School seeks applications for the above role.
The successful applicant will have leadership experience within a primary school setting and also have worked with children with additional needs. You will be able to clearly reflect an approach to children with additional needs, from ORS children through to one-off behaviour situations. You will also have an understanding of the MOE learning support delivery model and understand how to access the support and services our children and teachers deserve. You will have the ability to build relationships with multiple agencies, parents and staff that are long-lasting and are based on integrity and respect.
While your key responsibility will be learning support and pastoral care, you will also be an integral part of our school leadership team, working very closely with the DP - curriculum and the principal. You will be able to demonstrate and build effective relationships with all of the senior leaders, staff, children and the wider community. You will have the ability to lead and grow others as well as yourself.
Non-negotiable requirements for this role include competent use of HERO student management system and the Google suite, a sense of humour, love and dedication to colleagues and children alike and lastly, confidentiality beyond reproach.
