Inspiring academic excellence, leadership and a love of learning.

Hillmorton High School is an urban coeducational school situated in the South-West of Christchurch. The school is a growing Y7–13 school with dedicated middle and senior schools. The size and scope of our school means we are able to provide students with a caring and supportive environment, where they are known as an individual from Y7–13.

We require a passionate, specialist art teacher (Y7-13) to assist in our growing visual arts department. The successful candidate will be committed to professional relationships within the department and collaborative relationships with other learning areas and the wider school community. They will have experience teaching the visual art curriculum, and NCEA assessment requirements to level 3. Please state specialist subjects and other areas of interest.

Position to commence 28 January 2022.

Key strengths in literacy, numeracy and behaviour management are required. The use of culturally responsive pedagogy is an expectation of all teachers at Hillmorton.

The successful applicant must be a NZ registered teacher and be willing to commit to our co-curricular programme also.
