Campion College is a Y7-13 Catholic co-educational college with a maximum roll of 512 students.
We are looking for a motivated leader for our careers curriculum area. Please state supporting subjects. A focus of the college is having individualised learning programmes for our students. Students from across the learning spectrum are involved in work experience and Trades Academy programmes in addition to on site learning. There is a careers focus across all student levels.
Integrating digital technology and learning is fundamental. As a BYOD college, all students have their own chromebook or laptop. All classes have a class website allowing students to access learning materials whether on site or not. Hapara workspace/dashboard is utilised to manage resources and assessments along with other online programmes such as Education Perfect.
Learner agency, student choice, learning in context and making connections between various curriculum areas is fundamental to our student’s learning experience.
In Y7–10 students select from modules that involve 2 curriculum areas and are on the whole based in innovative learning spaces taught collaboratively by 2 (or sometimes more) teachers. Assessment is based on Solo Taxonomy.
In Y11–13 there is a broad range of subjects available for students to choose from. Our focus is for students to complete 16–20 credits in each senior subject, allowing them time to master the requirements of the achievement standards and therefore enhance their chance of achieving at the merit or excellence level.
On Fridays all students are involved in Impact Projects where they undertake a project of their choice and develop it. Alternatively, 60–70 senior students are involved in Trades Academy.
