We are seeking a qualified and certified teacher to join our Boutique centre with 35 children. You'll be welcomed into our small close family where everyone supports one another and we build strong relationships with our lovely parents.  Based in Birkenhead, promoting the underlying values of “RESPECT”, “LOVE” and “CARE” and we follow some of the RIE philosophies focusing on uninterrupted play. Open 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday,  privately owned with supportive owners and specialised ECE consulting expertise.

About the role:

You will be responsible for planning and guiding our children’s educational and developmental journey, maintaining portfolio’s, maintaining health safety standards record keeping, engaging in review and Professional Growth Cycle, building relationships with children and their families and supporting the Centre Manager to ensure the strategic goals of the centre are met along with safety compliance. 

Skills and experience for the role:

  • NZ ECE teaching degree or diploma qualified and certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A commitment to Te Whāriki
  • Competent with Microsoft office suite
  • Strong team player
