We are looking for a hard-working, heart-centred, self-motivated, passionate qualified or in training teacher to join our small team. This is a fixed term position for 1 year. We want to trial having an extra teacher on board to cover leave and having extra support with our under 2's.  The position is for 15 hours per week with the potential of picking up more hours when other kaiako are away. The 15 hours will be split over 3 days and the hours of work will approximately be 9.30am–2.30pm. These hours could be flexible for the right candidate. You will need to be a great communicator and you will have the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with our children, whānau and colleagues.

We are a small community-based, not-for-profit parent co-operative childcare centre in the heart of Newtown. We are licensed for 30 children which includes 12 U2s.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to thrive in a supportive environment where staff are valued and encouraged to excel. As part of our collaborative and supportive approach, teaching experiences are shared, professional development opportunities and ample non-contact time is provided.

We have a strong sense of community and spend lots of time out and about in the community. We have a strong philosophy which is inspired by a RIE-based curriculum, Kimberly Crisp and Penni Brownlee.
