We seek an HOL of physical education and health for a permanent position to start term 1, 2022. The successful applicant will have had experience with NCEA and the qualifications framework and will have the skills and experience to lead staff, manage resources, programmes and plant. The successful applicant will possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

As a school we are encouraged to ‘think outside the box’ to push the boundaries of ‘mainstream learning’. We need an HOL who is prepared to do this, as well as encourage ambition and excellence with our students.

Our school’s pedagogical practices include solo taxonomy and it is expected that our Heads of Learning lead and support their teaching staff to understand and integrate solo taxonomy into their day-to-day practice. 

Our school-wide goals also include literacy strategies relevant to their department’s subject language, thematic and integrated for juniors and it is expected that HOLs lead and support their departments, ensuring their students and teachers strive to an excellence-endorsed standard.

There are two salary units (MMU) and two salary allowances (MMA) attached to this position.
