Knowledge of our community and an in depth understanding of local iwi tikanga and kawa is desirable.
The successful applicant will:
Display exceptional personal and professional standards at all times
Have extensive knowledge of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, the NZ Curriculum, national standards and 21st century teaching and learning pedagogy
Develop and implement an engaging curriculum based on student needs and interests, and provide student focused environments where all are encouraged and supported to achieve
Develop, lead, implement and evaluate effective methods to assess and monitor student achievement
Set high expectations for achievement and positive behaviour for students and staff
Have strong management and leadership skills which are transparent, inclusive, honest and consultative. Be a competent financial and operational manager of our school – organised, solution focused with effective reporting. Lead using experience to inspire and motivate others. Provide an open, safe and collaborative environment
Have excellent communication skills which display empathy and transparency
Develop, maintain and strengthen strong relationships across our school, community, whänau, hapu, iwi.
Support the board of trustees and develop strategic policies and procedures and be responsible for implementing these school wide.
