Are you a certificated (i.e. qualified and NZ registered) ECE teacher with a passion for leading a small community centre?
Are you experienced in all facets of centre management from team and curriculum leadership, ensuring alignment with Ministry of Education and other regulatory requirements, and managing the ‘back office’ functions?
We’re a small not-for-profit community-based centre licensed for up to 27 tamariki (including up to 8 aged U2), located in the central city, and we're looking for someone special to lead all elements of the centre, including:
- Teaching and learning processes and practices
- Leading the team of 6 qualified kaiako, cook and office administrator
- Ensuring the operational effectiveness of the centre ensuring we’re providing high quality care and education for our tamariki and whānau, compliant with all regulations, and sustainable into the future.
You’ll continue the development of our localised curriculum, including the refresh of the centre's physical environment and resources to reflect the learning valued by our community, as well as the exploration and utilisation of our unique location and connection to many significant cultural and natural landmarks.
