NZQA is looking for Contract for Service (CFS) Moderators to carry out external moderation of internally assessed standards for:
- Biology (human biology)
- Business studies
- Drama 1–4
- Economics 1–3
- English for academic purposes
- Home economics
- Mathematics 1–4
- Music 1–4
- New Zealand Sign Language
- Physical education
- Science and earth and space science
- Social studies
- Te reo Maori 1–8
- Visual arts 1–4
As a moderator you will have the chance to work with other subject experts to ensure fair, valid and consistent assessment against the standards.
You must have current or very recent recognised teaching and assessment expertise in NCEA Levels 1–3 in your specialist subject area. Preference will be given to applicants with proven regional or national involvement. Experience in facilitating workshops is desirable.
Contract and training
The contract role is part-time and is manageable alongside a full-time job
Suitable applicants will be trained prior to confirmation of appointment. The training is online and will take approximately 8–10 hours. You will be paid for this time.
Participants will be required to successfully complete the training before a contract for services will be offered.
