Due to roll growth, we seek a committed and passionate teacher to further the development of te reo Māori and Tikanga Māori in our Ngā Tūmanako o Kahurangi Whānau unit. Applicants must have a high level of proficiency in te reo Māori. Experience in teaching NCEA would be advantageous. Candidates should also demonstrate skills in teaching kapa haka as we look to develop our Māori performing arts programme. The skills and dedication to actively engage with a diverse and enthusiastic team of staff and students underpins this role. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to our ‘Te Mauri o te Wahine’ pastoral programme, and will be expected to take on leadership responsibilities within Ngā Tūmanako o Kahurangi Whānau. A management unit is attached to this role to reflect this. The exact nature of these responsibilities will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
