We are seeking an inspiring, collaborative student-focused kaiako/teacher with an awareness of current educational practice,  who enjoys fostering positive relationships and developing taiohi/young people to reach their true potential.

Ability to teach physics to Level 3 NCEA an advantage. Other specialist sciences or subject combinations are also possible.

We have a very supportive staff and working environment. Co-curricular involvement expected.

Thames High School is situated at the gateway of the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula where you can enjoy a friendly semi-rural and coastal environment within 90 minutes of driving to Auckland, Hamilton, and Tauranga. Real estate is generally great value and more accessible than in these main centres. Our area abounds in tramping, boating, camping, and many other outdoor activities.

Our priority is to ensure equity and excellence for all, and we have a strong commitment to cultural responsiveness and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
