A great opportunity, to start off your career as a principal, is now available.
Whareorino School, Waikawau, is a picturesque, well-resourced school, located in a rural, isolated community on the west coast of the King Country, 30 minutes from Mokau. This area is home to great coast beaches, fishing, hunting, tramping, farming, and beautiful scenery. An awesome place to raise children.
Our school is currently providing quality education for 6, Y1–8 students. The school is staffed by a teacher aide, who is also the school administrator, and a teaching-principal who 1 day each week, is ably supported by a principal-release teacher.
Our supportive School Board and community are seeking a teacher to become our next teaching-principal:
Who enjoys working with children and will keep student welfare and needs at heart
Who will inspire a lifelong love of learning
Who is a great communicator, listener and leader, with the ability to inspire and motivate students, staff and the wider community
Who is currently an effective classroom teacher, demonstrating up-to-date teaching practice in teaching, assessment and reporting, and
Who is willing and keen to professionally grow and develop.
We really want to hear from effective classroom teachers who are motivated, and passionate about students and their learning and achievement. Should you be at the stage of your career where you wish to further grow your leadership capabilities, and move into principalship, then this could be the opportunity for you. Your application is most welcome.
Position commences term 4, 2021.
