A passion for emerging adolescents and a sense of humour
Ability to lead school wide curriculum development, particularly in literacy
Ability to develop teacher knowledge in reading and writing
Ability to support the school to grow formative assessment practices
Ability to lead PLD that is practical, relevant, meaningful and ‘stretching’
Ability to collect, analyse and present data to i) inform teaching and ii) identify school wide trends and patterns and iii) report to the BOT and community.
Communicate openly, honestly, respectfully
Model best practice teaching across the curriculum
Grow the practice of all teachers, regardless of their age or stage
Assist staff with planning to support readiness for and transition to college
Help staff to use assessment data to inform teaching and learning
Think critically about pedagogy, and assessment practices and tools.
