Cathedral College is a special character, co-educational College with 450 students, situated in central Christchurch. We follow the charisms of both Marist Brothers and the Mission Sisters and are a culturally diverse College.

We recognise the unique position of Māori as Tangata Whenua and ensure our policy statements and actions promote the intentions of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.  Through the leadership of the College all staff endeavour to be culturally responsive with the aim that, through a range of strategies, all Māori learners will enjoy educational success as Māori.

We are seeking a te reo Māori teacher/Māori liaison to work with our students, whānau and Iwi to continue to grow and expand our programme. An ability to teach senior reo Māori would be advantageous. In addition to the teaching role, the position of Māori liaison comes with 1MU and 2 non-contacts per cycle.
