The Heretaunga Kindergarten Association (HFKA) service’s with 16 kindergarten’s throughout Hastings, Havelock North and Central Hawke’s Bay.

We are currently recruiting for a part-time (0.675/27 hours) teacher in Waipawa, Central Hawke’s Bay.

Potential HFKA team members:

  • Have a ‘growth mindset’ and seek ongoing development and achievement of goals and aspirations
  • Have a demonstrable passion for learning and teaching
  • Can demonstrate commitment to wellbeing and providing safe and supportive learning environments
  • Have a demonstrable history of building strong relationships and communicating/taking direction positively
  • Have a current practising certificate (full or provisional).
  • Supportive environment for new graduates
  • Have a current first aid certificate/or agreeable to obtain one at the association’s expense, (if successful)
  • Are current with regard to early childhood education theory and practice
  • Are committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and to respecting, protecting and promoting the kindergartens significant local history.
